My name is Blaine Anderson, and since 2020, I've helped >7,000 clients find relationships they're excited about.

You might recognize me from the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and even on Shark Tank (Mark Cuban offered me a deal during Season 15 🦈)

Dating In LA Seems Easy. It Isn't.

If you weren't based in Los Angeles, you'd probably imagine it's an easy city to date in.

LA is the entertainment capital of the world, and it attracts beautiful, ambitious single women.

But here's what single guys in Los Angeles tell me privately:

"I've tried Raya, I've tried Hinge, and I can't get traction."

Dating app culture in LA is brutal. Your profile is up
against actors, founders, and professional athletes. Even if you're genuinely attractive, translating that into 6 photos and 3 prompts, and many guys stumble, especially since the local competition is so strong.

"The image and status pressure is crazy."

LA's casting-call culture can bleed into dating. Even if you're attractive and successful, it can seem like you need to perform to get noticed by the women you're excited about, and that's never a sexy feeling.

"I'm focused on my career, and don't have time to waste on the wrong dates."

Nobody wants to sit in an hour of traffic on the 405 before dropping $300 on sushi at Nobu, only to discover you have nothing in common with a woman you thought was a match. This happens more often than you'd think!

I know, because I'm in LA all the time.

I visit Beverly Hills regularly to record Help Me, I'm Single, and my in-laws live in Manhattan Beach.

How Matchmaking Works for Los Angeles Clients

1. we get to know each other

Before I find matches for you, I want to understand your background, not just your checklist. What's your life like? What does your ideal Saturday look like? What have you tried dating-wise around LA, and why hasn't it worked?

The more real the conversation, the better the introductions I can deliver. And if I don't think I can find matches you're excited about in Los Angeles, I'll say so.

2. We decide to work together

My matchmaking engagements are structured as six-month searches. During that timeframe, I'll deliver a minimum of ten hand-picked introductions to women who meet the criteria we align on for your search.

We're not randomly setting you up with thotty women hanging around the West Hollywood Soho House. Each match is carefully curated, and found for you personally.

3. We Get You Ready for dates

If you don't look good, you don't sell for what you're worth! I have all of my LA clients visit an elite local photographer named Kimberely before we kick off their searches. This isn't to fake anything, just to make sure women see the best version of you.

We'll also peek at your Google search results, and Instagram. If a match is going to search your name before a date, the results should work in your favor.

4. We find amazing Matches for you

My team doesn't pull matches from a picked-over database. We scour our personal networks across the Westside and Silver Lake. Our LA-based matchmaker Merav approaches women she thinks you'll like at the OG Venice Erewhon and SoulCycle on Melrose. We also use our Instagram reach to start conversations that most matchmakers simply can't.

In short, we pull out all the stops to find you matches. Each introduction we propose may represent 10, 20, or even 30 conversations we've had with women on your behalf in LA.

5. You Show Up And Have Fun On Dates.

By the time you hear a match's name, she already knows your story, and she's already said yes to meeting you.

We Don't Have Financial Relationshps With Women.

The women we introduce to our clients aren't also paying us for matchmaking services. Also, we'd never compensate a woman to go on a date for you, unlike some unethical matchmaking services we're familiar with in LA.

Our matchmaking service starts at $25,000. We offer just one service, and the exact price will depend on the specifics of your search.

Matchmaking isn't cheap (connecting with high-quality women is crazy labor intensive) and I'd rather be upfront about that than waste an hour of your time.

How Much Does Hiring A Matchmaker in LA Cost?

My matchmaking service in LA starts at $25,000. We offer just one matchmaking service, and that's the number. I don't hide it, and there's no hidden upsell.

The exact price of your search will depend on:

  1. How specific your criteria are (e.g. how many hours of work do we estimate will be required to find women you're excited about meeting in LA?)
  2. Once we've found her, is she going to be excited to meet you? (e.g. will we need to find 1, 5, or 15 women like her to make a match?)

LA has one of the best populations of single women in the country. For most clients with reasonable criteria,
we're able to find great matches quickly!

Questions I Hear From LA Matchmaking Clients

There are tons of matchmakers in LA. Why should I choose you?

There are indeed many matchmaking services in LA. We believe we're uniquely amazing because:

  • We're not matching you from a stale database full of women who are also paying for matchmaking.
  • We would never pay a woman to go on a date with you (yes, this actually happens in LA sometimes!)
  • We're focused on connections, not clout. We know the Instagram models in LA, and we know who'd make a great partner, and who wouldn't.

In a city like Los Angeles, these distinctions matter!

I travel outside LA a lot. Does matchmaking still make sense for me?

Many of our clients travel often for work or pleasure.

If you're LA-based, but you're frequently in New York or London (or wherever else), we probably can line up introductions that work around your calendar.

FaceTime first dates can also be an option when geography makes in-person complicated. Apply below, and we can discuss.

I work in entertainment, and my privacy is a priority. Can you help?

Your privacy is our priority. The only people who know you're working with us are you, and the matchmakers on my team supporting your search. There are no public profiles here!

Women we approach only hear your name after they've been screened, and we've determined they could be a good match.

With that in mind, the nature of matchmaking doesn't lend itself well to guaranteed 100% confidentiality (e.g. what a match says about you after meeting you isn't in your or our control) but we take professional precautions to avoid indiscretions, which we're glad to discuss with you if you apply below.

I've had a bad experience with a matchmaker before. How are you different?

I'm sorry to hear that, and I'd love to discuss your experience with you.

Just know that not all matchmakers are the same (this is a fragmented and opaque industry) and we work hard to deliver a best-in-class experience across every dimension to our clients.

For example, we source every match for you individually, and Los Angeles is a city we know well, because we have so boots on the ground here.

How fast does this work? When will I receive my first introduction?

The pace of your matchmaking engagement will depend on your search criteria, but most of our clients receive their first match within a few weeks of kicking off their search.

The clearer and more reasonable your criteria are, the faster we move!
